The Camano Center connects, enriches and supports our community.

Island Senior Resources

  1. Nutrition: Hot meals are prepared by Senior Services of Island County at the Camano Center and served three days a week in both a congregate setting and to Meals-on-Wheels clients. The Camano Center contracts with Island Senior Resources  to provide the dietary supplement Ensure on a donation basis. Prescription is required.
  2. Senior Information and Assistance/Case Management: Senior Information & Assistance helps link people over 60 with the services and facts they need to stay independent. Case Management takes Information and assistance one step further by providing in-home assessments, plans of care, ongoing monitoring, and reassessments of client needs.
  3. Volunteer Services Medical Ride Program: This program is made up of volunteers who provide transportation to medical appointments. Available to Camano Island seniors 60 years of age or older who are no longer able to drive and disabled persons ages 18-59. If interested in the Medical Ride Program Call 360-387-0222 to learn more about the program requirements for participating.

Call Ginny Berube with Island Senior Resources at 360-387-6201 for information about the programs listed above or to be connected with services.

The Camano Center also provides an informative monthly newsletter,  a foot clinic that is offered through Catholic Services and the loan of durable medical equipment.  We have informational speakers, entertainment, social activities, charter trips, and a variety of support groups.

The Camano Center ardently strives to carry out it’s mission, achieve it’s purposes and continue to provide programs and services to residents of Camano Island and the surrounding communities. Many volunteers, including an all volunteer Board of Directors, and a great crew of dedicated and talented staff contribute to the success of the Camano Center. Participate as a volunteer or avail yourself of our programs and services to “Get Connected”!
