AARP Smart Driver Courses: The AARP Smart Driver Course is offered at the Camano Center and is designed especially for drivers age 50 and older. Contact the Camano Center for current schedule.
Camano Connections Call Program: A daily morning call, Monday through Friday from one of our friendly volunteers. This is a social call and check to see that all is well.
Camano Connections Delivery: Groceries from Camano Plaza IGA delivered to the clients home during urgent and emergency situations. Available Monday-Friday.
Community Lunch: Lunch is served Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 12:00PM. Click here for more information.
Durable Medical Equipment: The Camano Center maintains a lending closet. We offer free use of equipment like walkers, wheelchairs and bath/shower benches. Inventory is subject to change frequently.
Farmers Market Vouchers: Vouchers are available during the month of June through Island Senior Resources while supply lasts.
In-Home Care Registry: A list of paid providers that will help around the house. Click here for more information on this service.
Liquid Nutrition Program: Ensure Plus, a liquid meal replacement for those 60 years and over. $30 requested donation for a case of 24 servings. There are eligibility requirements.
Meals on Wheels: Hot and frozen meals are delivered three days a week by Island Senior Resources volunteers to Camano Island residents.
Medical Transportation: We offer rides to medical appointments as well as pharmacy trips.
SHIBA Assistance: Assistance with Senior insurance and Medicare questions is available at the Camano Center through Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) by appointment.
PUD Discount Program: The PUD offers year-round low-income rate discounts of 20, 40 or 60 percent off of PUD electric and water bills to customers based on the total household income limits. Applications are available through the Snohomish PUD. Click here for more information. Island Senior Services will help seniors complete the application.
Vulnerable Seniors and Special Needs Registry: Assistance during emergencies and disasters for seniors and the disabled. We will provide information to emergency responders during an emergency or after a disaster. The registry contains information provided voluntarily such as the person’s name, address and the reason for registering. Click here for more information.
