During her work career, Bonney Lemkin was a clinician and healthcare manager with extensive experience in healthcare service delivery. She worked as an RN and CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) in a variety of clinical settings over her 38 year career. In her last position as Surgical Services Manager for Group Health Cooperative, more than 100 people reported to her and she managed a budget of over $3M.
After 26 years at Group Health, Bonney retired in 2005. While in Seattle, she was an officer in her local PTA; was active in the Washington Association of Nurse Anesthetists; and was a King County Master Gardener.
After spending 12 years weekending at their island home, Bonney and husband Jeff moved to Camano full-time in 2011. Over the years, she has come to appreciate the gem that is the Camano Center and has participated in a number of groups and activities.
She looks forward to greater, more focused involvement in the future and to helping make the Center an even more vital part of life for all of our Island residents while continuing to expand our range of senior programs.
Bonney and Jeff have two married children who live in the area and a grandson who is the light of their lives. She enjoys gardening, family time, crabbing, painting, and water sports.
