Support for older adults and people with disabilities
The Northwest Regional Council (NWRC), in partnership with the Camano Center, offers Aging & Disability Resources (ADR) to help Camano Island residents live safely, independently, and with dignity.
ADR staff provide friendly guidance, information, and referrals to programs and services that meet the needs of older adults and people with disabilities.
How ADR Can Help You
ADR staff are available by phone or in person (Wednesdays at the Camano Center) to help you find the services you need. Some ways ADR can help include:
Help at Home – Find support for daily tasks like bathing, dressing, meal prep, transportation, and personal care. Staff can connect you with both private and state-funded providers.
Medicaid Support – Get information about Medicaid long-term care coverage and help with the application process.
Support for Caregivers – Programs that give family caregivers a break, advice, and guidance on their own needs.
Long-Term Care Options – Learn about assisted living, adult family homes, nursing homes, and respite care facilities.
Other Resources – Help with things like property tax deferrals, powers of attorney, living wills, advance directives, transportation, and parking permits for people with disabilities.
ADR staff are here to make it easier for you or your loved one to get the right support and stay independent at home.
