Jeff Highland

Jeff is a retired university professor and academic administrator.  He spent his career at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, where he taught political science and served as university provost and vice president of academic affairs.  He has an undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University and graduate degrees from Washington State University.

His family has had a home on Camano Island for nearly 50 years, and in 2009, Jeff returned to the island to provide care for his elderly mother.  It was at this time that he came to appreciate the role of the Camano Center in the island community, particularly its senior services.  Jeff has served on and led several non-profit Boards, and he appreciates the opportunity to rejoin the Board of Directors of the Camano Center.

Jeff is also a church musician, and he provides organ and piano music for several congregations in the area.
