BetterAge

Take small steps to support your health, well-being, and quality of life as you age

BetterAge is a new, statewide pilot program designed to help older adults better understand their overall health and well-being—and take meaningful action based on what matters most to them. The Camano Center is one of just ten senior centers in Washington selected to participate in this innovative project, supported by a grant from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

BetterAge recognizes that aging is about more than medical care—it’s about staying active, connected, and engaged in life.

What the Program Offers

BetterAge provides a free, confidential, and easy-to-use health and well-being assessment that takes about 7–10 minutes to complete. Participants receive:

  • A personalized health and well-being report
  • Tailored recommendations based on areas they choose to improve
  • Insights into strengths and opportunities related to healthy aging
  • The option to complete the assessment digitally or on paper

BetterAge’s 3-Stage Approach

BetterAge is designed to support individual choice and empowerment through three simple stages:

  • Awareness:  Start by taking the health and well-being assessment to better understand where you are today—because aging is about living well, not just managing health conditions.
  • Action: Review your personalized report and recommendations, and choose small, meaningful steps that feel right for you.
  • Achievement:  Build confidence knowing you are taking positive steps to support your health, independence, and quality of life.

Who Should Participate?

BetterAge is for:

  • Adults age 55+
  • Individuals interested in proactive, preventive approaches to aging
  • Anyone who wants to better understand their overall well-being
  • People who enjoy setting personal goals and taking small steps toward improvement

Interested in Taking the Assessment?

The assessment takes about 7-10 minutes to complete and will generate a well-being report and recommendations.
