Are you passionate about supporting your community and making a difference? Consider applying to Camano Center's board of directors. As a board member, you will help shape the direction of our programs, services, and events while ensuring that the Camano Center's mission is fulfilled.
Members of the board of directors are elected by a majority vote of the membership at the annual meeting held in July, after an interview process with our Board Development Committee.
What You Will Do
As a member of the board of directors, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and guidance for the Center's operations.
- Participate in board meetings and discussions to support decision-making.
- Help to develop long-term goals and policies that serve the community.
- Advocate for the Center and promote its mission to the broader public.
- Assisting with fundraising initiatives and outreach efforts.
- Chair or attend a board committee, based on your experience, talent, or strengths.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Current individual membership to the Center.
- Display a passion for the Camano Center's mission and commitment to supporting the community.
- Ability to attend monthly board meetings and occasional special events.
- Donate to the Center at your own discretion.
- Willingness to contribute time, expertise, and resources to help the Camano Center thrive.
- Prior experience in leadership, nonprofit management, fundraising, or community outreach is a plus but is not required.
