Outreach volunteers play an essential role in promoting our services and engaging with the public. This is a chance to be an ambassador for the Center while helping us reach more people. Whether you are interested in distributing flyers, attending local markets, or teaching educational classes, there are many ways to get involved.
What You Will Do
As an outreach volunteer, your responsibilities could include:
- Put up flyers and other forms of advertising around town to promote events and programs.
- Attend community markets, meetings, and other gatherings to represent the Camano Center, sharing information about what we do and how others can get involved.
- Be trained to teach community educational classes such as the Dementia Friends Program, for those interested in taking a more active teaching role.
- Staff a booth at resource fairs, and share information about the Center's services, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities.
