What You Will Do
As a front desk volunteer your responsibilities will include:
- Greet members and guests as they enter the Center
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries
- Give tours to new members and visitors
- Check-in participants for classes and programs
- Make morning social calls to older adults living alone
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as helping with the front desk database
- Assist the public with medical equipment loans and donations
Time Commitment
- Shifts are 3.5 hours once a week, either morning or afternoon during operating hours
Qualifications
- A helpful, outgoing, and pleasant personality
- Ability to hear well in sometimes noisy environments
- Comfort with general computer skills and using databases
- Competent and clear in phone communications with a variety of people
- Reliable and committed to your weekly shift
